On July 31, 2017, the opening ceremony of the Liaoning Benxi "Expert Academician Workstation" and the "Practice Base for Postgraduate Students Enrolled in the Professional Master's Programs at Shenyang Pharmaceutical University" were held at Green Valley's Benxi Life Park.

The Green Valley Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was co-invested and co-founded by the Green Valley Group and Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Green Valley pursues the sacred mission of “changing the destiny via the brain,” adheres to a patient-centered approach, focuses its efforts on developing a precise brain diagnosis and treatment platform, and provides innovative diagnostic and treatment solutions for patients worldwide suffering from neuropsychiatric diseases (primarily Alzheimer's disease) and other complex chronic diseases. Moreover, these patients often face other barriers to their treatment, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer. In October 2016, Green Valley was approved to transform the key laboratory for carbohydrate drugs that it established in Benxi into a "Provincial Key Laboratory for Carbohydrate Drugs." The establishment of the "Expert Academician Workstation" and the "Practice Base for Postgraduate Students Enrolled in the Professional Master's Programs at Shenyang Pharmaceutical University" led by Ding Jian, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, marks a new step forward in Green Valley's efforts to promote multilateral cooperation among governments, enterprises, universities, and research institutes.

Lv Songtao, Chairman of the Green Valley Group and General Manager of Shanghai Green Valley Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., mentioned in his speech that Green Valley's innovative gene was formed over the course of several years under the guidance, support, and scrutiny of academicians Pei Gang and Ding Jian. The Shenyang Pharmaceutical University has the capacity to nurture a number of star pharmaceutical enterprises in the medical hub of Benxi. The establishment of the "Expert Academician Workstation" and the "Practice Base for Postgraduate Students Enrolled in the Professional Master's Programs at Shenyang Pharmaceutical University" are important measures by Green Valley aimed at further attracting and cultivating high-level scientific research talent as well as developing a green and precise healthcare platform.

Ding Jian, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, mentioned in his speech that Green Valley has always been an important strategic partner of the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. For the next step, the Expert Academician Workstation will make joint efforts to tackle problems in R&D dealing with Chinese innovator drugs and their key production technology, facilitate the application of research results, and increase the production of Chinese innovator drugs with international influence. We hope to see our national mission statements through to the end by serving this cause and eventually benefiting patients.
