Wu Qing, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, Paid a Visit to Green Valley

On the afternoon of February 13, a team of municipal leaders paid a visit to Green Valley under the leadership of Wu Qing, the vice mayor of Shanghai. They listened to Green Valley's introduction of its drug R&D, visited Green Valley's Carbohydrate Drug R&D Innovation Center, learned detailed information on Green Valley's world-leading platform for carbohydrate drug development (the platform was first invented in China and has enjoyed intellectual property rights), and had a cordial talk with the company management.

Afterwards, the visitors convened a forum at the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), Chinese Academy of Sciences to hear reports on the R&D and the latest progress of GV-971, the world's first oligosaccharide drug against Alzheimer's disease invented in China. Leaders from SIMM and Green Valley managers delivered talks on establishing industrial hubs for carbohydrate drugs and creating favorable conditions for drug innovations. At the forum, the visitors paid full attention, took notes, asked questions, and had creative interactions with the audience.

The inspection visitors include leaders from the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Shanghai Office of Science and Technology Innovation, and Shanghai Municipal Food and Drug Administration.
